Confirmation emails, personal attendee pages, QR access, and public check-in.
Confirmation email
The confirmation email is the main way attendees receive their event details, attendee portal link, and QR identity.
Event teams can send tests, bulk sends, and individual resends from the event portal.
- Use confirmation emails as the default QR delivery method.
- Resend the email instead of creating duplicate attendee records.
- Preview the email before sending it at scale.
Attendee portal
Each attendee receives a personal portal link in their confirmation email.
The portal shows attendee details, event details, a check-in QR code, and current check-in status without requiring an account.
- Use the portal as the attendee's simplest way back to their QR.
- Portal access can be controlled from attendee management.
- If the portal is unavailable, confirm the attendee belongs to the right event and still has portal access enabled.
Public check-in page
The public check-in page is intended for attendee self-service.
It supports two flows: QR scanning and manual entry using the attendee email plus unique ID.
- Primary path: scan the attendee QR.
- Fallback path: enter the attendee email and unique ID manually.
- If the page is inactive, attendees will see an unavailable message.
- Repeated rapid attempts can trigger a temporary rate-limit wait.
After check-in
After a successful check-in, the attendee sees a standard confirmation with their attendee details.
If the attendee is already checked in, PassTru does not show a harsh failure state. It confirms the existing checked-in status instead.
Event-day support
Recommended checklist
- Resend the confirmation email if the attendee cannot find their QR.
- Use manual fallback if the attendee is present but cannot scan.
- Confirm the attendee is using the correct event link.
- Keep one staff member available for support while another keeps the queue moving.
