Booth flow
Visitors register on a public page, receive a visitor identity, then use their scanner page to record booth visits, unlock rewards, and track progress.
Booth operators and clients can monitor the activity from the event portal and operator dashboard.
- Share the event's visitor registration page with guests.
- Each registered visitor receives their own booth scanner page.
- One visit per booth per visitor is recorded.
Set up booths and operators
Enable gamification before adding booths. Each booth consumes one booth token when it is created.
Booth operators can then be created and assigned so they land in a narrow operator dashboard instead of broader event admin pages.
- Create booths with name, location, and category.
- Download one booth QR or export all booth QR codes for printing.
- Use the registration QR at the event entrance to direct visitors into the flow.
- Suspend or reactivate booth operators without deleting them when needed.
Visitor registration and scans
Visitors register without a login. After registration, they are redirected to their personal booth scanner page.
The scanner page shows progress, booth visit status, and rewards earned so far.
- The visitor must register before booth visits can be attached correctly.
- Duplicate scans for the same booth are rejected safely.
- Pending offline scans can appear in the booth list until they sync.
Rewards and leaderboard
Reward tiers define how many unique booth visits a visitor needs to unlock each reward. When the threshold is reached, PassTru generates a redemption code automatically.
The leaderboard lets the event team monitor booth activity and can also be used as a live engagement surface during the event.
- Use short tier names and explicit thresholds.
- Add code prefixes when the redemption team needs to identify rewards at a glance.
- Mark rewards as redeemed from the Visitors page when prizes are collected.
Offline booth scanning
If connectivity drops, booth scans are saved locally on the visitor device and synced automatically when the connection returns.
The scanner shows online or offline status, pending scan count, and sync behavior so visitors can keep scanning even in poor venue conditions.
- Offline scans are stored in local storage on the visitor device.
- Reconnect events trigger automatic sync.
- Duplicate protection still applies when queued scans sync later.
- Private browsing or cleared browser storage can remove unsynced scans.
